What do you do when you can’t sleep

Sometimes no matter how old you are or what is going on in your life, for no reason you just can’t sleep.  Now some people blame it on health issues, diet issues, mental issues but really sometimes it is for no reason at all.

I get those times when I feel I just have to get up and do something, sometimes I write, or clean, or organize or watch tv, there is no reason for it and I don’t go looking or a reason

If more people just accepted that sometimes you just cannot sleep for no reason they would be much happier and less stressed, because when you go looking for a reason you cannot sleep you come up with a multitude of health issues and pills you should be taking.  Instead of just accepting that sometimes the body is not ready for sleep and wants to do something else.

Your body knows how much sleep it needs and it is not what the statistics are like 8 hours or 10 hours or 6 hours whatever your body thinks it needs is right for you.  Sometimes I only sleep 5 hours and sometimes I sleep 8 hours either way I wake up refreshed and ready for the day and never feel tired.

In fact I rarely get tired no matter how many hours sleep I get.

Do you remember when you were young and would go out to parties and get home at the early hours sleep for 2 hours get up and go to work and feel ok about everything.  Well that is how your body works.

Relax if you can’t sleep do something else and stop worrying about how much sleep you think you need.  You will sleep when you should and be awake when you should.  Nobody can tell you what best is best for YOU.
