Acid Reflux is it killing you?

Acid Reflux, heartburn is such a common ailment these days you think it would be easy to treat and diagnose.

  • In America, more than 60 million adults suffer symptoms of acid reflex each month.
  • It’s estimated 25 million of the 60 million adults suffer symptoms every day.
  • Acid reflux symptoms in children can begin as early as infancy, but symptoms usually stop as the child grows older.           acid reflux

Addressing the issue without taking medication is not something a lot of people are prepared to do.

One of my clients has been on medication for 5 years and unfortunately the side affects from the medication are now worse than the acid reflux.

Changing your diet and your lifestyle will help your acid reflux.  Some things to eliminate from your diet are

  • Orange/Orange Juice
  • Grapefruit
  • Pepper
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • some Alcohols
  • caffeine
  • smoking
  • losing weight

Find out what triggers your symptoms, everyone has a different trigger, once you have found what it is then eliminate or manage it.    Avoid coffee late at night for many different reasons. Don’t eat late at night,

When you want relief there are some remedies you can try to find the one that works best for you.  Some of them are

  • Slippery Elm
  • Ginger Root
  • Pro Biotic
  • Fish
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Aloe
  • B2 and B6

The above are not extensive but are easily introduced into your diet and easily taken when you feel the symptoms coming on.  Finding out what works for you is the most important thing you have to focus on.  What works for one person may not work for another.

Also for those of you that know how to use EFT you can also tap on it.  The emotion behind heartburn is clutching fear.  Perhaps look at some of the fears you are holding onto and tap on them.

If you are taking medication and have been taking it for a number of years then you should consult your doctor.
